The Son's Revenge

So this guy can talk to ghosts. He seems to be pretty good at it. I've been wondering where he got this skill. I think he got it from the island. I think he's been there before, maybe even born there. I think all of the people who have come to the island from the freighter have been to the island before. They all might have worked for the Dharma Initiative or been a part of it.

I think the drunk pilot used to fly for Dharma. That's why he might know the area so well to be able to fly. And the guy that looks like Luke Perry is a physicist expert in the field electromagnetism, which Dharma was studying on the island.

This guy in particular, Miles Straume, I think is the son of the doctor in all the Dharma orientation films. They look very much alike. One would have to think the casting was specific in that manner. Also, we've had a lot of story lines about sons being pissed off at their fathers. How about one about a son who looks to revenge the death of his father? That's why the four are there. To avenge the death of those they love that died in the purge.

As for the "man" Ben has on the boat...I thought Michael at first, but now I'm rethinking. Now I don't even think it's a man. I think it's a woman. The woman he shot, Charlotte. I think that's one reason he shot her because he knew she'd be donning a vest and not be fatally wounded. She also seemed to know where to dig for a Dharma polar bear in the Tunisian desert. Maybe she knew about their past experiments.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Next President and Vice President

To me, Super Tuesday sealed the future. John McCain seems destined to become the Republican nominee. The Democratic race, however, looks like it will be a fight for many weeks to come. That fight will prompt Clinton and Obama to beat up on each other more to get ahead, despite the display of civility shown in the last debate. I'm sorry, but that just won't last.

As a result, it will be a shorter battle for the eventual Democratic nominee and the eventual winner may have to first overcome any hits taken during the primary campaign. There will be no Obama-Clinton or Clinton-Obama ticket. Neither candidate would agree to that. Plus, I don't think they have congruent philosophies to govern effectively. Clearly John Edwards wants to be the running mate once again since he didn't endorse a candidate once dropping out.

So why Joe Lieberman sitting next to John McCain? I believe that's how McCain will reach out for a running mate. There has been talk in the past of candidates reaching across the aisle to create a bipartisan ticket, but it's simply been deemed impossible. Well, McCain technically would not be reaching across the aisle. The Democrats pushed Lieberman into the world of Independent, so it's not a full party line crossing. Clearly he'd be up for the idea since he endorse McCain's candidacy in lieu of any of the Democratic candidates. Plus, Lieberman supports the war in Iraq and many conservative policies. Finally, it would be Lieberman's final shove in the face to the Democrats for what they did to them.

I think the American middle would jump at a moderate ticket that seems to have been craved by so many but never presented. Add the fact that the Dem nominee will be dirtied coming out of the primary and the ticket will be more to the left, a moderate ticket could win in the end.

There you have it. Our next VP and President of the United States.

The Oceanic Six

So six people got off the island, supposedly. Who are they?

Jack, Hurley, Kate, Sun, Jin, Sayid

How were they chosen? By the numbers.

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42

There were 71 original survivors of the crash. Assume for a moment they all were assigned a number 1-71. Out of those, numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 were chosen to leave the island. Numbers 15 and 16 indicate a possible pairing. That leaves Sun and Jin or Bernard and Rose. Rule out Claire and her baby because the baby came later. Rule out Bernard and Rose because what if Rose leaves the island and her cancer comes back. Plus, Sun must leave the island in the hopes of actually surviving child birth.

Why Sayid? Well, my thought process here is far less scientific and deep. The third episode of this season deals with Sayid. So, it seems to me that the Oceanic Six would be the only ones doing the flash forwards for awhile, if the flashes are to be consistent with events occurring off the island.

Now, here are some burning questions I have read across the Internet:

Was that Christian Shepherd sitting in Jacob's chair in last night's episode? If so, is he Jacob? I sure hope not.

Why is the flight attendant Jack talked to in the pilot episode living among the Others? Was she one all along?

In "Through the Looking Glass," why does Ben tell Jack that "every living person on this island will die"? Is that to say there are non-living people on the island? It seems there might be.
